Privacy

When you join the Lautta waitlist, we use your email address to send a confirmation link, release news and occasional development updates. The controller is Jesse Huusari. Contact: privacy@lautta.app.

Waitlist

We store your email address, the date you signed up and confirmed, and the version of the consent text you accepted. An unconfirmed signup expires after seven days. A confirmed address stays on the list until you unsubscribe or request deletion. We do not sell the list.

Resend processes addresses to deliver the confirmation email and future updates. The waitlist database is hosted on our Hetzner server. We use your consent as the basis for these emails. Each update will explain how to unsubscribe. You can also request access, correction or deletion, or withdraw consent, by emailing privacy@lautta.app.

Game ratings in Lautta

When you open a game in Lautta, the app checks how it ran on similar Macs. That request sends the game’s Steam ID, your Mac model identifier, graphics processor and memory size to our server. The response contains rating counts, not other players’ individual reports.

When you choose “Ran well” or “Had issues”, Lautta also sends that rating, your Mac’s architecture and macOS version, and a random rating ID. We store a hash of the ID so you can update or remove your rating from the app. We keep ratings on our Hetzner server until they are removed or the service ends. A failed upload stays on your Mac for a retry. Your Steam account, device serial number, game files and saves are not part of the rating. Ratings are player reports and do not change a game’s reviewed support status.

You can remove your rating from the game view while online, or request help at privacy@lautta.app. The server also processes connection data in the security logs described below.

Website

The website’s current game search uses Steam catalog listings. If your browser permits local storage, this site remembers only your last game search term and Steam AppID on your device, so you can return to it. You can clear this through your browser’s site data controls.

Our server keeps access logs with the request time, page, IP address and browser information for security and aggregate traffic statistics. Search terms are removed from these logs, and waitlist and confirmation requests are excluded. Logs rotate and are kept for no longer than 90 days. The private traffic report contains only summary counts and day-specific visitor estimates. We do not set analytics cookies or run browser analytics trackers.
